For easter break this year we took a few days and traveled to Atlanta.
We spent a day at the Georgia Aquarium and the next day at Zoo Atlanta. Below you will see some highlights of our trip.

Zoo Atlanta
Our second day in Atlanta was spent at Zoo Atlanta.

Nanny and Papa came with us to Atlanta.

These twin apes and their mama were hilarious to watch. It's scary how human they act!

Bernard caught this lizard trying to kiss one of his daughters.....

The panda bear exhibit was amazing!

Pretty kitty poses for my camera.

One last drink before bedtime.

Centennial Olympic Park
After our visit to the Georgia Aquarium, we decided to walk through the park to see the sights. Unfortunately, that day those sights included the police having to shoot down a crazed lunatic waving a gun around. We happened to be at the bottom of the park (approx. 1/4 mi. away) when that took place, so the commotion had quieted down a little by the time we got up there. Thank God for his perfect timing or we might have been closer to the danger.

Jenna and Kayla drying out from their adventures at the Olympic rings water display.

Nanny got a great pic with my D80 of Jenna at the Centennial Olympic Park.

Bernard relaxes with the kids.

Kayla gets trapped in the Olympic rings water display in downtown Atlanta.

Jenna tries to squeek her way through.....
.....and Ian conquers it all.

Atlanta Aquarium
Our first day in Atlanta was spent visiting the largest aquarium in the world.

Kayla took this awesome pic of a jellyfish.

Jenna checks out the fish.

Kayla plays with the horseshoe crabs at the touch tank.
Ian relaxes as he watches the piranhas.

Ian's favorite display.....
Bernard's favorite..... the leafy seadragon
Kayla, Jenna, and Ian enjoying the aquarium.
Ian got the best seat in the house.

Longer, higher, tougher..... I conquered it! Cooper River Bridge Run 2007. My running friends and I decided to run this 10k in Charleston, SC. What an adventure!

Bernard lost a bet with his students this year.....

Jenna got to be the subject of my practice with my new Nikon D80. She is a natural beauty anyways..... Enjoy.

Swallowed by a whale..... The kids love playing in this tent Ian got for his birthday.

Ian turned 5 on March 1st! A good time was had by all. Ian got lots of "boy stuff"....
....enjoyed cupcakes....
....and loved his new power rangers costume.

February 1st, our only taste of snow this year. This is the view from our back porch.

January was hog butchering time. Todd and Jared were a tremendous help with processing the 6 pigs we raised and sold. Thank God for them or that would have been me out there. Yuck!

The new year's party at our church was highlighted with a concert by Ricky Skaggs and his band Kentucky Thunder. Awesome!

Now that's a tired boy!

Our Disney World vacation
November 2006

As I look back through the events of the last 12 months, a major highlight for our family was our trip to Disney World for a week. What a blast! Nanny and Papa went with us, and I feel certain to say that we all had a great time and can't wait to go back again. I have added quite a few pictures to show you just a little bit of the fun. Enjoy!

Kayla is not so sure about posing with this Storm Trooper at MGM.

Jenna and Ian at the Honey, I Shrunk The Kids playground.

Not a bad looking family, don't you think?

Ian got to pose with one of his favorite Disney characters-- Buzz Lightyear!

Are you sure that's not a villain posing with Ron and KP?

The kids take a trip through Narnia.

The Spectacle of Lights for Christmas at MGM was very cool!

Kayla plans out our course for our day at Epcot.

Nanny and I just had to get our picture taken with "Chip and Dale."

Minnie's getting a little sweet on MY guy.

The girls got to do a little work in the test lab at Epcot.

I am not sure I can explain this one.....

Ian was asked to participate in the High School Musical Pep Rally. When asked in front of the whole crowd what he wanted to be when he grew up, Ian said he wanted to be a spider!

Jenna and Ian groove to the Wildcat song.
